Teachers’ day is just around the corner. Like me, you’d probably been searching on the internet for some ideas.
My teacher-friends often advised me that teachers’ gifts should not be expensive. They concurred that the best gifts are handmade by students, e.g. cards with heartfelt words. A parent’s appreciation of a teacher’s dedication is definitely a great booster!
“Dust collector” items may accumulate over the years and eventually end up in the trash should be avoided to minimize waste. It is a good idea to discuss with your children and consider their opinions. They probably know their teachers better than us after all 🙂
All that being said, giving is an happy act, let’s not stress over it. It is okay not to give. A student who is a reflective learner and embraces the HER3OIC values, is without a doubt, the greatest gift of all.
To all ALPS teachers, we are grateful for you!
